Privacy Policy

The short version

• Leat has no accounts, and I don't run any servers that collect your data.
• Your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud.
• The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect some data to show and measure those ads.
• Purchases go through Apple. I never see your payment details.

Who is behind Leat

Leat is made by an independent developer (Terraphin). In this policy, "I" and "me" mean the developer of Leat. Questions? Email terraphin.contact@gmail.com.

Your progress

Leat saves your progress (levels, points, hints, chosen looks and settings) on your device.

If you're signed in to iCloud, Leat also keeps a copy in your iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so it can sync between your devices. That copy belongs to your Apple Account. I can't see it or access it.

Ads

The free version of Leat shows ads from Google AdMob: a full-screen ad between some Endless puzzles, and short ads you can choose to watch for a hint or to open a chapter.

To show and measure these ads, Google and its ad partners may collect and use data such as:

• your IP address and a rough location based on it
• device information, such as the model, operating system and language
• identifiers set by Google for this app
• which ads you saw and tapped
• diagnostic data, such as crashes and loading times

Leat does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not shared.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Leat asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Leat: Settings, then Privacy choices. If you say no, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalised.

Leat Ultimate removes the ads between puzzles. Ads you choose to watch for a hint still come from Google AdMob.

Purchases

Leat Ultimate and hint packs are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment. Leat only receives a confirmation from Apple that a purchase happened, so it can unlock what you bought. I never see your name, card or payment details.

Crash reports

If you've allowed "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone or iPad settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with me. You can turn this off in Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Leat is a game for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting your data

• In Leat: Settings, then Reset all progress.
• Deleting Leat removes the data saved on that device.
• To remove the iCloud copy: iPhone Settings, then your name, then iCloud, then manage storage.
• For data Google collected for ads, see Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
